This was the first antique china doll that I purchased and she has been in my collection since the 1980s: a blonde lowbrow chinahead late 19th century. She is marked Germany on the back shoulderplate. She has a vintage muslin body and wears lovely vintage clothes: a green velvet cloak over a vintage mauve frock with old lace. Her dress is sewn on so I have not removed it. Her body was possibly replaced before she came into my collection but it is in good condition. She has bisque lower arms.

19th Century Black-haired "Lowbrow" Chinahead Doll 16 inch (excellent condition) This 1890s China doll has porcelain lower arms and lower legs ending with black china flat-heeled boots. She has the number 3 on her back shoulderplate. She has a vintage muslin body (possibly replaced before I got her). She wears a vintage red cloth dress and white apron which suits her well. There are small rubs on the curls of her hair, perhaps from being over-loved!
